Allow me to Introduce The Inclines

The Inclines hail from Kitchener, Ontario. The dynamic four-piece band release songs that ricochet with emotive prowess. They sing of relationships gone South as well as found love. Their style is a brash mix of alternative self-confessional emo indie rock.  They released a few ripping singles earlier in the Spring.  Here is your introduction to the band. Sam Belanger - Lead Vocals/Rhythm Guitar Jake Robinson - Bass Guitar/Vocals Brad McNeil - Drums/Vocals Cole Saunders - Lead Guitar What's up with the band name?  – “Our singer came up with it about 3 years ago. It doesn’t have any special meaning we just like how ambiguous it sounds.” Tell me about your start as a band  – “ We’ve been a band since 2016. Our  influences  range across many genres such as punk, and R&B. We write our lyrics as a group. Our songwriting process is very chaotic because we always have many songs on the go.” What is your favorite music to listen to?   - “We are very inspired by

I wanted to like Post Punkers Drahla.....

e world of music is fascinating. With any art form, mediocrity abounds while the special talent has the propensity for getting over looked. I wanted to write the post punk art deco band from Leeds, Drahla, but the review wasn’t flowing. The draft has been in it’s undone stage for almost two months. I did see they were touring but intermittently. It was quoted that the band is so “busy touring”. When I looked up their schedule just now on Tuesday, 6/11, they had 6 gigs booked until the end of the year. Wow 1 gig a month constitutes touring?  I guess the bands that are gigging almost weekly better refer to their time on the road as SUPER MONSTER TOURS. 6 dates until the end of the year does NOT constitute a tour.    They call themselves Drahla. I call them pretentious art school flunkies who stole from the likes of Delia Derbyshire and the Ramones. Delia’s sound collages waft in their apocolypitc style video for one of their over the edge too cool for school meanderings. Delia was the

Why I want my money back Aimee

T he opening act Johnathan Coulton or JoCo as his fans say brought levity plus whimsy to his opening set. He was a musical stand up wizard attempting to engage a middle aged audience. I think I may have been the youngest one there. Bring on the boring couples who sat through the ungodly sound disaster. I was the only one to say a word. They sat glued to their seats reveling in their cheap beer and antidepressant diet. She attempted bass harmonized quietly he could have easily sung the songs solo as she really added no depth. She is a tall lady (lucky her) but she stood like a gawky teenager on bad drugs. Or what I found weird oddly like a love lorn little girl. MMMMM….. She left after her big two song stint.   He warbled. “Aimee will be back on stage after she does the drugs she needs to do to get back on stage. This was in opposition the headliner the one the only the pretentious, insecure Aimee Mann. God it pains me to do this but in effort to provide the truth here we go. She m

Drahla get off you high horse. Honest Review

Artist of the Day - Scary Hours

New Jersey proud, Ryan Struck embodies his moniker Scary Hours with a sense of overall amazement of what happens in his life. Sometimes he is able to roll with it other times he is content to take cover in his refrigerator.  He sarcastically sings of finding refuge among his left overs and cold pizza in "Fridge Hunter." off his recently released Live to Serve/Serve to Live.   Ryan cut his teeth on the harsh tonality and subject matter of punk. he enjoyed the rapid spit fire manner of creating such music. After a stint in culinary school, Ryan went heavy into his own emotional life. His lyrics became more insightful thus easing him out of the punk scene as he moved into a more indie/alternative road. Scary Hours was able to catch the attention of Pyrrhic Victory Records. The folks at PVR took an instant liking to his innovative new style. He began writing deep tunes. One song is about his foray into the back end of restaurant world. The experience left him r
